Another NEW Sam song . . . for free! Thank you so much. Hope I can find the magazine on newsstands when I’m in Los Angeles next month.
Still hoping the alternate version of “I Need Love” (performed on the “Don’t Do Anything” tour) will be available at some point in time along with the long-awaited “When You’re Down”.
[...] Sam Phillips, A Boot & A Shoe. Recommended by Mark Hoobler. And we are glad he did. As we were unfamiliar with Sam Phillips until this album, it took us until track two to realize Sam is a she and not a he. Further research revealed that Phillips played a mute terrorist in Die Hard With A Vengeance, is T-Bone Burnett’s ex-wife and was once dubbed the “Christian Cyndi Lauper.” She’s also featured in The Believer’s 2009 Music Issue. I listened to this song on youtube and loved it (I know…most of you must have loved it as well). I wish it was available the way Piece of My Bright Side was, though. I’m on the other side of the world and can’t get the magazine, which is really sad because I really want to have this song.
If anyone can help me, I would deeply appreciate it. Just in case, my e-mail is: yo_jazmin01@hotmail.com
Hello everyone! Thanks for all the positive words about The Believer and my song “What It All Means” which is included in the new music issue. I’ve committed this song to The Believer for the time being, but eventually it will become available for those who can’t get The Believer.
You can order The Believer online at http://www.believermag.com which I highly recommend with or without my song as it has been one of my favorite things to read.

This issue just hit my local Canadian newsstand this week. What a lovely song! I can’t stop listening to it long enough to actually read the magazine.
I noticed the magazine will also be available from Amazon if anyone has trouble ordering it directly from The Believer.
Thanks for sharing another amazing song from your secret stash!
