Sam’s song “Reflecting Light” in Crazy Heart

A remix of Sam’s song “Reflecting Light”, from 2004’s A Boot and a Shoe album on Nonesuch, is featured in the new motion picture Crazy Heart starring Jeff Bridges. This remixed version appears on the soundtrack album out now and available at Amazon, iTunes and everywhere music is sold.

    I’m just curious as to what the song Reflecting Light is about? I mean, I think everyone takes away from a song, what they want it to mean… I guess I’m just curious as to why you wrote the song. I love your voice by the way. You have a voice that reminds me of sitting outside in a rocking chair on a summer’s evening, drinking a cocktail, and watching fireflies. That sounds silly, but that’s what I think of when I hear your voice.
